Tarragona

We went on a student exchange to Tarragona, Spain, which turned out to be a wonderful experience for all of us. During our stay in Tarragona, we learned a lot about the culture, the people, our exchange partners and especially about the differences between our school systems.

It was quite interesting to see how different everyday school life is in Tarragona compared to Germany. The classes are generally smaller and the time for the different subjects shorter. The teachers were mostly very friendly. One surprising rule was that students who arrived late had to wait outside at the locked gate and were only allowed to re-enter the school for the next lesson, or after a talk with the principal.

We all had a lot of fun getting to know our exchange partners. Most of them were very kind, open, and welcoming. Together we took part in various workshops and activities, such as cooking paella, visiting a climbing park, and going out in the city centre. These shared experiences helped us connect quickly and create wonderful memories.

Overall, we made new friends, gained valuable insights and collected many unforgettable moments. We are looking forward to seeing our exchange partners again next year when they come to visit us in Germany.
